Planet Plants is a family-run business with a passion for creating unique gardens in Kent.
Our collection of interesting and unusual plants complements our selection of more popular ornamental shrubs, trees and herbaceous, which are looked after and managed on beds across the five-acre site.
Since 2007 we have worked hard to transform this previously derelict spot nestled in the beautiful village of Ightham, into a vibrant and exciting nursery. We source young species and cultivars locally and from across Europe and beyond which we grow-on, nurture and sell to wholesalers and plant experts looking for something a little bit different.
In addition we hold Open Days throughout the year where members of the public are welcomed in to browse the growing beds, get plant advice, relax over refreshments and buy plants at excellent value.
We have planted hundreds of trees and shrubs on the nursery as feature plants so visitors can see specimens and get a feel for what we have on offer and we are conscious of our environment, collecting and storing rainwater with which we irrigate our plants. We also use biological control to control pests and reduced peat potting composts where possible.
With lots on offer to suit every taste, we're confident you'll find something you like. Get in touch. We'd love to show you around!

Planet Plants is looking blooming lovely at the moment with a kaleidoscope of colour bursting forth from every corner!
Autumn is traditionally the best time for planting. With the soil is at its warmest and the Autumn rain reducing the need for watering, plant roots can establish well over the winter months and improve next year’s growth.
So, join us at our Open Day and enjoy a browse, get some plant advice and buy straight from the growing beds.

As always, our complimentary homemade biscuits and tea and coffee are available so, grab a friend and come and see us!
